24 – 27 November 2026
ABOUT
MAP 2026
The International Symposium on Utilization and Cultivation of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants & VII International Symposium on Plant Genetic Resources and Breeding Research on Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (MAP2026) will be held from November 24 to 27, 2026, in Udon Thani, Thailand, in conjunction with the Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026.
The symposium is organized by the Department of Agriculture, Thailand, together with the Horticultural Science Society of Thailand (HSST), under the aegis of the International Society for Horticultural Science (ISHS).
Symposium Mission
Medicinal and aromatic plants have played a vital role in human health, well-being, and cultural heritage for centuries. In the modern era, they are increasingly important as sources of bioactive compounds for pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, cosmetics, and sustainable agriculture. However, these valuable resources face pressing challenges, including habitat loss, overharvesting, genetic erosion, and the impacts of climate change.
The symposium aims to bring together scientists, breeders, conservationists, and practitioners from around the world to exchange knowledge and experiences on the sustainable utilization, genetic resource management, and innovative cultivation of medicinal and aromatic plants. By fostering collaboration across disciplines, the symposium seeks to enhance biodiversity conservation, promote value-added uses, and strengthen the global network for advancing research and development in this vital sector.
